SUVOA is a non-profit consumer organization dedicated to supporting the rights and serving the interests of SUV, Pickup and Van Owners. SUVOA, formerly known as, Sport Utility Vehicle Owners of America has broadened its mission to represent the views of all light truck owners, thus adopting the new tag line, "Standing up for SUV, Pickup and Van Owners of America."

Founded in 1999, SUVOA is the voice of and advocate for SUV owners from unfounded attacks by special interest groups and unwarranted government regulation.

SUVOA is equally dedicated to serving the public with information about SUV ownership, including product reviews and recommendations for maximumizing utility. performance and enjoyment from SUVs.

SUVOA Bill of Rights:

My rights:

  • I have a basic right to own and operate the vehicle of my choice and to use it for whatever transportation purpose I may choose.
  • I have the right to own and operate an SUV free of unnecessary and unusual restrictions.
  • I have the right to speak up publicly - to the news media and public policy makers - on behalf of my choice of an SUV or multi-purpose vehicle.

My responsibilities:

  • I must know my limitations as a driver and the limitations of my SUV.
  • I must drive reasonably and safely.
  • I must treat all other drivers with courtesy and respect at all times.
  • I must abide by all traffic laws and exercise common sense on and off the road.
  • I must know that SUVs drive differently than cars and drive accordingly.

As a supporter of SUVOA, I also support efforts by this and other organizations to promote freedom and responsibility in the operation of all vehicles.
